LiveArts Cabaret Partners with Comunidad de Colores for Women’s Appreciation Show Highlighting Health Equity

Santa Fe, NM — LiveArts Santa Fe announces a special Women’s Appreciation Cabaret, presented through LiveArts Cabaret in collaboration with Comunidad de Colores, to raise awareness for their mission to promote health equity in Northern New Mexico.

Comunidad de Colores works to improve the quality of and access to healthcare services regardless of insurance status or ability to pay, addressing systemic gaps in care while centering dignity, autonomy, and community trust.

This Women’s Appreciation Cabaret brings together performance, storytelling, and advocacy — using the power of live art to celebrate women while amplifying the importance of accessible, equitable healthcare for all.

“Cabaret has always been about storytelling, visibility, access, interaction, and care,” said Coco Caliente, producer and headliner with LiveArts Cabaret. “Comunidad de Colores is shaking up the medical system in much the same way cabaret once transformed theatre — by intentionally breaking down barriers, centering personal connection, and meeting people where they are. I’m proud to stand on this stage for a cause that truly serves our community. Women’s appreciation means honoring not just strength and beauty, but the right to healthcare, autonomy, dignity, and support. And it means recognizing the leadership of Kim Nguyen, MD, Myriam Salazar, Kate Nelson, CFNP, and Christine Winfield, who continue to identify systemic gaps and pave a more equitable path forward for our community.”
